Lately I got JacVapour s22 kit and wrote a review. I was rather impressed with S22 battery design and performance, and its clever passtrhough function that works great for anyone spending much time online. The only thing I don't like about it happens when the charge goes down to around 50% - you can feel the voltage loss in your vaping. (Here's the review of S22 kit).
So when I ordered its little brother (or sister, if you like), JacVapour s17 battery, I kind of expected the same issue. Surprisingly enough, that didn't happen.
This battery is sold either as a part of S17 kit or separately. In case you buy only the battery, the picture shows what you're going to get.
You would need to buy its charger separately, but you can also use smartphone charger for it. I'm using the one from S22 kit.
To give you an idea of its size, I placed that plastic disposable cigarette lighter you can buy anywhere next to it and their lengths are the same.
You can use it with 510 threaded tanks but if you are using eGo threaded clearos (like Evod or CE4 , you'd need 510 to eGo adapter for it.
Rubber oil finish always looks good. S17is approximately the size of eGo 600mAh battery as it is today, but looks much better. It has a large button, flush with surface, that lights up when activated. There's a charge indicator near the bottom of the battery.
Green light shows the voltage range 3.4-3.8v, blue light is for 3.1-3.4v. Red light starts at 3.1v and it will flash 10 times, indicating that the battery needs recharge.
This battery can take you through half a day, or even an entire day if you are a light vaper. I've been using it for weeks now, so this is not the review written within the first 48 hours of obtaining the item.
For the last few weeks, I've been using JacVapour S17 battery with Aspire Nautilus 2 (review) and this may not look good, as the tank's diameter obviously exceeds the one of the battery, but it works, so I don't really care. It works fine with all coils I've had with it - 0.7, 1.6 and 1.8 Ohm.
If you buy the entire S17 kit, you get its tank, which looks much better. However, be warned that it uses proprietary coils you can find only with Ecigarettedirect and JacVapour (and probably with whoever else sells JacVapour products). Btw the same coils are used in S22 kit.
As for charging, the seller says it takes 1.5 hours, but I can confirm that charging it on my laptop takes only an hour.
Also, I can't have enough good words for the passthrough functionality. It saved me enough times, hence the praise. If you keep forgetting to charge your spare batteries, this saves the day.
All in all, JacVapour S17 battery exceeded my expectations, both in appearance and performance.
There is an option, very suitabe for beginners to purchase a complete starter set (battery, tank, 1.0 Ohm coil + 5 replacement coils, usb charger cable, 1 plug adapter and 3 bottles of Halo e-liquids)
You can also go to JacVapour and buy it from them.
