These four Jack Vapour tobacco e-liquids were purchased by my husband a couple of weeks ago.
After being happy with JacVapour S22 Vape kit(review), and even happier with a little S17 battery(another one), we in the house wanted to see what kind of e-liquid they have. The shipment arrived pretty fast from UK to Croatia, in only five days. So, this is the first KUDOS for JacVapour.
From there, however, not everything was that sweet.
We encountered a problem, and that's why this review took ages to appear. It seems that the juices didn't have enough time to steep properly. I know it happens when a company has too much demand to meet, but still. These bottles were sitting in the dark for days here, occasionally shaken and left open for a while, in order to make them vapeable and that's not something that a new vaper - the one that mostly choses tobacco flavours - would appreciate.
Anyway after the harsh taste mostly evaporated, I was finally able to try them for this review.
Here, you've got Tobacco Reds, Tobacco, Tobacco Virgin and Desert Ship, all four 50/50 PG-VG, which is a ratio of Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerine considered optimal for new vapers in terms of throat hit and vapour production.
Jac Vapour sells these liquids in 0, 6, 11 and 18mg nicotine and the base of all is 50/50 PG-VG. They are UK made. We chose 18mg to help recreate our first vaping experiences.
My present favourite tank, Aspire Nautilus 2, is used in this review.
The site describes it as "mild, slightly sweet tobacco flavour“ and says it „is a great choice for new vapers; that's why we're opening with this one.
Basically I agree with what's said. There is a light hardly perceptible note of sweetness and this e-liqud has its expected tobacco bitterness.
My daughter, who still vapes only tobacco flavours although she's been a vaper for five years, likes this one.
I'd say it's a nice way to start your vaping journey and gives you a satisfying smoking experience and tobacco feel rests in your mouth even after vaping. Vapour and throat hit are very good. For me it's the second best in this series.
This is my personal favorite among the four. It does a good job of imitating Camel.
However, unlike the Tobacco Virginia which is sharper and more bitter than the original Virginia tobacco that I know, Tobacco Desert Ship is actually a bit more mellow than the original Camel cigarette which was always too sharp and bitter for my taste. What I want to say is that I like this liquid more than Camel cigarettes.
It has a slightly nutty note and seems to be producing the biggest amount of vapour among them all, although not by far. Still vaping it and would definitely buy it more if it were on sale where I live.
At Jac Vapour, they compare it to Golden Virginia or Drum British style rolling tobaccos.
As such it is suitable for those who previously smoked roll your owns. It has a necessary moisture feel that Virginia has, and the throat hit is also excellent. Vapour is pretty impressive. However, there is a taste that is a bit too bitter and sharp for this kind of tobacco. I've tasted better Virginias, in tobacco, cigalikes and bottled e-liquids. As for Drum British style rolling tobaccos, I've never tried them so I might be missing something here.
Anyway it's not unpleasant, but it wouldn't be my first choice.
As already mentioned, we had to give these liquids some time to make them vapeable and that especially applied to this one.
However some of the harsh smell and taste remained in this one. They say it's like Marlboro. I'd say it's more like Marlboro soaked in alcohol and left outside to dry.
Anyway, it resembles some of those cheap Chinese e-liquids you might have bought once or twice when left without your normal supply and had nowhere else to go to but to the next kiosk where they sold it to you without knowing a thing about it. I'm still vaping it as I'm writing this but will stop very soon.
Ok, after a couple of hours of vaping, I got used to it. It doesn't taste that bad, but I wouldn't recommend it.
All in all, I'd recommend the first two, the third is so-so. As for the fourth, well, you've read it.
