Five Years Vaping

Now, this site has been dormant for quite a while and I only recently decided to reactivate it. However, my vaping has been constant since August 2012. That's how long I haven't been poisoning my lungs and my living space with tobacco smoke and neither has my daughter who graduated, got a job and recently moved out.

Husband has been an on and off vaper and right now he is back to smoking but I'm not losing hope. The vape industry is developing and I'm sure there is a device with his name on it.

Recently, my extended family has got a totally unexpected dual user: my uncle. He replaced most of his smoking with a fine e-cigar product and his health improved. You know a guy like this and maybe you love him dearly, like we love the uncle. But oh my, there is nobody more set in his ways. Still switch-the-uncle mission succeeded. As much as humanly posibble. Read the story.

You know the feeling of utter defeat and disappointment with yourself, while you eventually yield and grab that cigarette after a month or more of heroic struggle not to.
Just for fun, I smoked half of  my first tobacco cigarette after several months of vaping and the dreaded relapse simply didn't happen.
I'm in no danger of becoming a smoker again.

The beauty of this whole thing lies not only in usual and obvious advantages that vaping has in relation to smoking. We've been through it all on this site more than once, so let's just set it aside.

Here's one more thing that may be vital to folks who repeatedly tried quitting smoking only to relapse after some time, be it a day, month or even a year. We've all been there and I'm sure you know the feeling of utter defeat and disappointment with yourself, while you eventually yield and grab that cigarette after a month or more of heroic struggle not to. You know you'll be hooked back on smoking the same pack or two again pronto, but you just feel you can't help it.

It happened to me at least half a dozen times. The longest abstinence period was 20 months!

I relapsed to smoking and quit the quitting after that disaster. Until I tried my first e-cigarette, of course. Although it was a mere cheap eGo knockoff with a 3ohm clearomizer, from that moment on, everything was easy. Just for fun I smoked half of  my first tobacco cigarette after several months of vaping and the dreaded relapse simply didn't happen. I can smoke any time, but it doesn't attract me anymore. A puff or two and I'm already disgusted.

Once I was left without a drop of e-juice so I borrowed husbands Marlboro that evening. I smoked 2 and the next morning I went to get my e-juice from the shop. I'm simply in no danger of becoming a smoker again.
