DL - direct lung
type of vaping. The other one is MTL - mouth to lung. Direct lung here means inhaling vapor straight into lungs so that it doesn't linger in your mouth. It has become popular in the recent couple of years. It requires a different vaping setup ie. mods of higher voltage and wattage and sub-ohm tanks. E-liquid is also different - less nicotine and you go through much more juice than in MTL vaping which is basically a smoking simulation.

a solution heated by the atomizer to simulate smoking. It's made up of mostly a propylene glycol (PG) or vegetable glycerin (VG) base, or their combination, nicotine at desired level, and additional flavor/s. Most components in e-liquid are well known and used in many food products. Only pharmaceutical grade (USP) or food grade PG and VG should be used. More on e-liquid
e-solid
e-solid – gel substance, packed in a tube like toothpaste, used instead of e-liquid. Not to be confused with so-called nicotine gel (which is a nicotine replacement therapy - NRT)
Turns liquid when heated. Users who have tried it had not so favourable experiences, but they all agree it lasted longer than e-liquid, which is true. The taste, however, leaves much room for improvement.Keep in mind this info is from 2013. I can find no later reviews which indicates this product fell by the wayside.
